Fifa 2013

As I sat in the technology center earlier today, I watched someone play an amazing football video game on PS3. It was like real EUROPEAN football. It was an awesome experience. I learned a few moves in football that I would love to try out (laughing out loud). I have always been a basketball type of girl. Before today I was unaware of who or what the important player was in football. Now I know you have to have a strong QB and LB. Again, it was great to watch. Lately I havent really been one for sports much because of work and for the first time FOTTBALL WAS INTERESTING!!!!! its amazing how one game console can change your mind.

O MY GOSH, i know very little about graduate school at the U of A but it is quite apparent that the graduation rate has increased. This information made the newspaper Arkansas Democrat Gazette. YET when I open my newspaper the article that I am looking for isn't in there. So, in my mind I demand an explanation. As I look at the dates, I see that the one on the front says the 14th and the other says the 15th. Oh how I THOUGHT i was about to read some news about the college I attend, just to be let down by another stupid newspaper. This has happened to me twice this week. It just erks me. Meanwhile in today's paper I actually read something on the first page that told me where my freaking tax money was going. CONSTRUCTION, CONSTRUCTION, CONSTRUCTION. Boy does this crap add fuel to my fire. It is so unnecessary to have 1 million construction sites in Fayetteville. Furthermore, I really think something a little more important should have made the front page on The Northwest Arkansas TIMES newspaper!!!! Worst headline ever, "Flyover Set For Takeoff". The other story involved legalities about a freaking apartment ownership. WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO GO ON THE FRONT PAGE????????????

Twitter Tonight

Twitter is so awesome. I get all of today's news from there. Like tonight, I finally decided to follow THV news and they tweet all the links to all the "juicy" stories of the day. Too bad they are still a televised news cast and I still feel disconnected from the world when I receive news from the TV. Somehow, I feel, by following them on twitter, ill be more inclined to pay attention and get the real story. News Broadcast is just a bunch of blah until it goes social (laughing out loud.) Seriously though, i've become a "visual" listener. If I read the news I seem more likely to grasp the message rather than watching it. Besides on twitter, I don't have to worry about waiting until 7 o'clock pm to watch the news or any other time for that matter. Its all right there when I need it on my mobile social site TWITTER.

ELMO?????? HOMO?????

Elmo allegedly had sexual relations with a boy who has now come forward to tell the story. It's quite funny how the hip hop and r&b radio station Power 105.1, out of Brooklyn New York has released new information on the ongoing trial. It is said that the sexual contact was consensual between the two adults. This is not something that I have seen in the news. I mean it may not seem important to some people, it touches me. I do not discriminate against homophobia and as highly inappropriate as this next comment may be, growing up, I never watched Barney or even liked him because I thought he was a homophobic pedifile, so to hear on a radio broadcast that there is a law suit being filed against Elmo for the allegations being made, is almost heart breaking. I have an Elmo onesy that I sleep in because as a grown woman I still adore him...UNTIL THIS!!!! I must say this news was rather interesting even though im a little late. Power 105.1 was just releasing an update on the case this morning stating that the alleged victim has changed his story

Media In Todays Society

Watching KARK channel 4 news today brought up the most random thought. Firstly, I honestly hate the way news is conveyed in televised news. At least on this news broadcast anyway. It is almost as if the news has become a joke so the importance of news is dismissed during the on air broadcasting. Seems awkward that when the news comes on, you barely receive any news that is beneficial. By the way, what's with the "new" meteorologist like EVERY SINGLE WEEK.. opposed to a few years ago when I watched the news and most of the time they had the same weather person. O well. I guess that's just today's news the televised edition. Or maybe Its just me but I really did not feel informed.
